A pleasing combination of navy and apricot from my stash combined in a churn dash block makes this a nice quilt for an older lady who likes blue.

I am now retiring from my "purple phze." Judy S. quilted it for the giving free of charge on her longarm quilting machine. I was so appreciative of her willingness to do that as with the muslin backing of the squares and the larger size, it was just too big to handle on my machine.

These quilts were completed this week and taken yesterday to the Family Connections Center in Layton. I was given a tour of the facility there and it services many families who for many reasons seek help. The bottom quilt was given to me by an older lady in town that just wanted to help.

Wanted to try doing post cards to send out to my mom who is doing radiation treatments. We'll see how these send and travel. I used a card making template for the card back and then used a glue stick to glue the two together before stitching. As I remember the post office puts a little strip at the bottom, so I need to experiment a bit. Maybe I'll even send one to myself to try it out. *smile*
