Is this a my signature quilt?

This is fast becoming like a signature quilt for me.  It works up fast and it uses scraps in the string blocks.  I like making 6.5 finished blocks in the strings and then using 9.5 in the spaces between.  It gives me space to try new quilting techniques in that space and I make them so that I can use the width of fabric for the back.  This gives a pretty good sized kid friendly quilt and it is using up my stash and my UFO's.

and they are gorgeous if you are known by them. I like the string blocks, but a whole quilt made from them is very heavy. I like how they bring excitement to these quilts, without having all of the weight. You have inspired me to get sewing today.
thanks

That's the reason I created my strippie quilt after I got my longarm so I could practice my designs for borders and sashing. Once I was done with a strippie, I had the design imprinted in my brain.

Aren't strings versatile? I like trying them out in all different blocks and quilts.

I love doing kiddie donation quilts that just utilise a width of fabric for backing too! Love how you used the string blocks in the strippie :)
